Skates.com is an incredibly wellknown online retailer so I was really excited to work with the company on cleaning up their website and helping them prioritize the content on their homepage. The original site was dark and cluttered and they had decided they wanted something a little different from the usual skate-park vibe most of their competitors had. They wanted classy, elegant, something bright that could handle their large amount of categories. We kept the whole design very product-focused, allowing their photographs to really bring in the vibrant colors, complimented by the light gray color scheme. They wanted the design itself to be subtle and open and easy to navigate.
