Crying Raven was a little different from a normal ecommerce store. Instead of having multiple categories they only had two, so I had to design something a little different for their navigation and header. They loved the idea of keeping things simple and open and uncluttered, but really wanted some artistry in the design to reflect the beautiful Native American artwork they sold. So I kept the template area subtle – giving it some soft textures and including some faded graphics in the footer and header and in some of the homepage elements. The typography was allowed to shine in this design given how visual the homepage was.
